Summary

As a Tech at NordX Miles Campus in Damariscotta, I worked in all areas of the Lab. I performed Laboratory testing on patient specimens, interpreted and detected abnormalities in both specimen integrity as well as instrument malfunction. Our Chemistry analyzers included a Roche E 411, a Roche E 501 and an ABL 90 as well as an I-Stat for down time testing. Hematology responsibilities included running the Sysmex 4000 and 1000, manual differentials, body fluids and Coagulation testing on the ACL TOP. My job required preventative maintenance on all instruments and routine quality control on all analytes. Urinalysis was done on the Roche U411 with microscopic examination as indicated and reflex to culture. In Microbiology, Gram stains and specimen plating were also included in my responsibilities. Many Serology tests were part of my daily responsibilities. I used the IH system for Blood Bank with manual testing as indicated. I am proficient in both SSC and SoftBank as our lab software system and Epic as the hospital's EMR. I am very interested in learning new things and am a hard worker.
