Over 13 years of experience in mental health, providing care in various clinical settings and to a diverse population. The last six years have been working as a PMHNP in an outpatient setting treating patients across the lifespan. A large percentage of current clients are children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, behavioral problems, Autism, and bipolar disorder. Also experienced with geriatric patients, as well as substance abuse/medication assisted treatment.
Responsibilities include: Diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders; prescribe medications as indicated for the treatment of psychiatric disorders; elicit and record physical and mental health status, psychosocial history, including review of bodily systems; perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations; initiate appropriate diagnostic tests; plan, teach, promote, and manage mental health; implement and manage treatment regimens; arrange appropriate referrals; managing a large caseload and other functions as common to the nurse practitioner for which I am educationally and experientially prepared. Experience with substance use disorders and Suboxone patients. MAT certified with XT DEA number. Two years of experience treating patients via telehealth. Experience with children and adolescents including anxiety, mood disorders, behavior problems, ADD/ADHD, and Autism. Experience with geriatric patients.
Responsibilities included: providing quality patient care in the home; monitoring the physical and mental health of assigned patients; developing a plan of care for patients; monitoring compliance with medications and treatments; administration of medications and prescribed treatments; providing patient education about disease processes and medications; supervision of home health aides; working as part of a multidisciplinary team in order to provide the highest level of care for the patient.
