Vallandingham Scholastic Honor Society was established to increase respect for scholarship and to provide a means by which this scholarship shall be recognized. Membership is the highest academic honor bestowed at the University of the Cumberlands. Students are inducted into the J. T. Vallandingham Society if they meet the following conditions: completion of at least 90 semester hours including AP and department credit, with at least 48 hours completed at the University of the Cumberlands, an overall cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better, and no incompletes at the time of review with the exception of Presidential Honors research.
