Prepare outpatients and inpatients for endoscopy procedures by assessing patient’s overall health status, medical history, allergies, current medications, as well as measuring vital signs and starting IVs to ensure readiness for procedures. Ensure patients are properly prepared for their procedures and that the procedural team has all of the necessary information to perform the procedure safely.
Assist in performing various endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, upper endoscopy, Barrx/Radiofrequencyablation, and ERCP. Assist with therapeutic interventions such as biopsies, polypectomies, balloon dilations, stent placement, variceal banding, gastrostomy tube placement/replacement, and foreign body removal.
