Work History

STEM Ambassador

Salish Kootenai College - Bike Camp
07.2022 - 08.2025
  • I was responsible for developing and implementing hands-on STEM lessons focused on bicycle maintenance and safety for students in grades 5 through 10. The camp ran for five days each summer from 2022 through 2025, during which I designed engaging, age-appropriate instruction that integrated practical mechanical skills, problem-solving, and real-world safety applications.

Student Teaching

Creston Elementary School
03.2024 - 05.2024
  • I had the amazing opportunity to work with and be mentored by Jen Johnson, a master second-grade teacher at Creston Elementary School located in Creston, Montana.
  • During my student teaching experience, I implemented an action research plan called "Solve & Evolve." This action research topic is a Problem-Solving (PS) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activity. In "Solve & Evolve" the students were active participants in collaboratively solving real-world problems, utilizing critical-thinking skills, and developing empathetic emotions for a variety of Peoples and unique circumstances.
  • Due to the nature of the school-where teaching directly aligns with MCCSS-I was given flexibility in creating my own lessons in literacy and mathematics while fostering deep relationships with my students and cultivating a positive learning environment that celebrates mistakes as much as achievements.

K-8 Math for Teachers I - (MATH 182) Co-Teacher

Salish Kootenai College
09.2022 - 12.2022
  • I was responsible for creating, revising, and implementing, specific lessons for K-8 Elementary Education Pre-Service teachers at Salish Kootenai College. I worked hand-in-hand with Dr. Heather Bleecker, a renowned faculty member at Salish Kootenai College for her innovative ideas and passion for equitable teaching. Heather and I co-taught utilizing various methods and math manipulatives (both digital and physical), including but not limited to, Base 10 Blocks, Katie Cubes, Cuisenaire Rods, etc.
