During this Internship with Coastline Signature Homes, I learned skills through building houses and everything involved. I was shown how to build communication skills with clients and the work ethic it takes to build clients there dream homes.
When our family moved here we rented a house while we were looking for a house to live in. The rental house was on a farm that came with 5 Horses, 2 miniature horses, and 1 donkey. I would feed them, make sure they had water in their troughs, brush them, bathe them, and in the colder months give them hay and give the short-haired horse her blanket.
Hospice Helpers is a fundraising group that gives back to the local hospice house in Carteret County. Every December we do "Lights of Love" in Megan's Bay to raise money for the Hospice House.
I started babysitting for families in my neighborhood when I was 12. I mostly worked for the Peptis Family who had 3 kids and I watched them all since they were born. I worked for them until I moved to Cape Carteret In the summer of my Sophomore year. For other families, I would watch their kids sporadically whenever they needed me. For the Schlosser family, The Husband works in Special Forces and The wife is an ObGyn who would go on call often so I would stay with her son overnight while she was at the Hospital and her Husband was deployed. I now work for the Waddell family here in Cape Carteret as a summer nanny and then babysit once or twice a week during the school year.
I started dog sitting at the age of 10 for people in my neighborhood and I still do for my neighbors here in Cape Carteret.
