I am a dedicated and motivated individual with a passion for learning and a commitment to academic excellence. I excel in highly productive environments where I strengthen my communication, work ethic, teamwork, and adaptability. I am also proficient in time management, collaboration, and problem-solving. An admirable trait that has gotten me ahead in the things I have pursued in the past is my love for being social, and learning from everyone and everything around me. I take joy in speaking to others, learning new perspectives and ideas, and using them to support, contrast, or prove the authenticity of my own. A characteristic I incorperate that contributes to my succes is when I do not succeed, I embrace my failure. I have mastered the ability to take my failures and mistakes, and use them to motivate my growth. This helps me thrive in my education. Whenever I deal with academic or life hardships, I use the outcomes to drive my yearning to do better and achieve what is most difficult for me. This ensures my success in everything I do.
Being a singer in the Madrigals choir has introduced the opportunities of getting to participate in many amazing events that have heightened my singing experiences such as singing the national anthem at high school sports events, a pep rally, and singing the national anthem with many other choirs at an Angels Baseball Game. I have also sung many solos at choir concerts including genres of pop, christmas, and decades themed concerts. Being on stage, performing in front of an audience, and getting to sing with a group of other students who share the same passion as me has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I find comfort and joy in getting to do these things and expressing my love for music through the freedom that I have in my voice. I also grew up acting and have been on magazine covers, commercials, and a show as a child. I still enjoy it till this day but I have been very occupied with academics so I have not had enough time to engage in acting during my high school years. I am also an athlete and enjoy working out and going on runs in my free time. I did gymnastics from the age of two till the age of eleven, I then played volleyball competitively for about one year. While competitively playing volleyball, I took on the sport of surfing and have been doing it for about four years now. I surfed competitively from 2021-2022. I then decided to do track during my junior year. Engaging in these sports have disciplined me to be consistent and to always perform better after learning from my failures and mistakes. Being an athlete has also taught me to take care of my body and mental health which has ultimately improved the way I engage in my day to day activities and take on challenges. Apart from performing arts, I plan on pursuing a career in medicine and focusing on plastic surgery. My ultimate career goal is to become a cosmetic plastic surgeon. I have always been very astonished by the idea of transforming someone's appearance with surgery, whether that be reconstructive or cosmetic surgery. I realized making someone feel more confident and satisfied with their inner or outward appearance is something that greatly inspires me and I would love to get to do that for others one day. In order to pursue this goal I plan to major in Biology during pre-med, then getting into med school and earning an MD.
