Current responsibilities include evaluation and initiation of PrEP/PEP patients using CDC guidelines, keeping up to date with national guidelines regarding HIV prevention. Identifying new HIV cases and initiating Rapid Start for ART, continuing care for currently HIV infected patients. Keeping up to date with HIV medicine guidelines, and medications. I also treat patients seeking assistance with gender transitioning, keeping up to date with WPATH standards of care in transgender medicine. I also treat internal medicine patients, treating/diagnosing diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, keeping up to date with current general medicine guidelines and age-appropriate health screenings. I assess lab work and make appropriate referrals to specialists as needed, perform annual well person exams to include pelvic exams. Maintaining appropriate and timely documentation. Maintaining regular communication and consulting my supervising physician as needed.

Responsibilities included, assessing and treating the public for STIs. Staging and administering appropriate treatment for syphilis. I was charged with performing phlebotomy, collecting specimen samples, and interpreting results. I was also responsible for administering treatment to patients. Often times I was tasked with consulting with local health care providers to educate and advise on most appropriate treatment for STIs.
