OB/GYN phone triage

Assists providers with patient care assessments, ordering medications and necessary tests

Performs fetal Non Stress Tests (NST) per provider order- pt assessment and education, & resource for fellow staff members

Collaborates with OB team to perform initial prenatal intake and history, prenatal education & documents findings in electronic health record per protocol

Per provider request, assists patients needing follow up OB appointments, and/or with other medical specialties

Responsible for maintaining and updating OB roster - involving chart review to insure patient history & test results are documented at the appropriate gestational age - Communicates with providers & hospital staff as needed prior to sending charts to Northern Westchester Hospital

Research assistant - researches current standards of care related to Obstetrics

Responsible for direct patient care of high risk pregnant population and their newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, post partum and newborn phases

Collaborated with providers to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment , while managing changing conditions

participated in multidisciplinary "huddles" related to evaluating patient care and unit activity

Coordinated nursing care on L&D, antepartum/postpartum, well baby nursery & Level II Nursery

Supervised and managed monthly staff schedules and daily patient assignments

Precepted new nurses in proper techniques , care standards , procedures and safety protocols assisted with development of an orientation manual and skill checklists

Collaborated with other health care professionals to provide quality patient care based on current standards of practice - performed regular chart audits

Staff Nurse, Obstetrics-

rotated through L&D, antepartum/postpartum and well baby nurse

Assumed charge responsibilities on a rotating basis with fellow staff
