As a college leader, I led a group of youth aged children in Bible study's and prayer time at several Summer Camps and Disciple Now.
As a counselor, I was responsible for leading a group of 15-25 children. I developed problem solving skills when addressing challenging behaviors or conflicts between children. I performed light housekeeping responsibilities to maintain cleanliness in our areas. I managed daily operations including transition times, meal times, and rest times. I applied positive reinforcement strategies to promote self-confidence and independence among the children in my group.
As a team leader at Super Summer, I led a small group of girls who were going into their junior year of high school. Our small group time together consisted of asking them questions about the lesson preached in our sessions and them sharing their comments and questions. It taught me in several different ways on how to develop a Christian based relationship with students to grow me and them in faith.
As the Music Leader for Vacation Bible School, I led several groups of children from ages 4 to 12 in learning the music and dances that were on theme with the VBS of that year. I also led the students in a lesson recap at the end of our music time together which involved reading the Bible with them and praying.
While growing up in Church, I developed a love and passion for participating in ministry projects and church development At 19 years old, I accepted my call to student ministry where I have gained many experiences to push me toward that goal
