• Assess patients’ physical and emotional status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation techniques, self-care, and long-term wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physicians to coordinate care.
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans based on patient response and goals.
• Support patients in regaining mobility, strength, and independence.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure a safe, respectful, and healing environment.

• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpret and record measurements
• Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
• Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
• Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
• Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records
• Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols

• Conducts intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Consults with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
• Administers and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
• Performs administrative assignments such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer system.
• Assists the client in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment
