ASG-KU MP Patrol – Duty Description

Position Title: Military Police Patrol Officer
Location: Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring, Kuwait
Agency: Department of the Army – Area Support Group Kuwait (ASG-KU)
Series & Grade: GS-0083-07/09 or equivalent TCS/PCS deployment

Primary Duties

- Force Protection & Law Enforcement:
Conduct routine and emergency patrols across ASG-KU installations. Enforce UCMJ, host-nation agreements, and DoD directives. Respond to incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, and secure crime scenes.

- Access Control & Physical Security:
Operate Entry Control Points (ECPs), verify credentials, and enforce installation access policies. Support anti-terrorism measures and coordinate with host-nation security forces.

- Incident Response & Reporting:
Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies. Draft detailed incident reports, evidence logs, and sworn statements in accordance with Army Regulation 190-45 and CID protocols.

- Traffic & Safety Enforcement:
Enforce traffic laws, conduct sobriety checks, and investigate vehicle accidents. Support convoy movements and VIP escorts as needed.

- Community Policing & Liaison:
Engage with tenant units, contractors, and host-nation personnel to promote safety and compliance. Provide briefings on local threats, cultural awareness, and operational security.

Additional Responsibilities

- Maintain readiness for quick reaction force (QRF) deployment
- Support ASG-KU’s mission as a CENTCOM logistical and operational hub
- Participate in joint training with host-nation forces and rotational units
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DoD INFOSEC protocols during patrols involving sensitive areas
