     I love biking!  It is a passion of mine.  I have been working on my own bike as well as my family members' bikes.  I enjoy researching and reading about bikes, bike mechanics, and tools.  I want to continue learning more about bikes from a bike shop that has the knowledge and skills to help me further my understanding.

     I have been Alpine skiing for six years.  I ski every weekend at Giants Ridge with my family and friends.  I have been on my school's Nordic ski team for the past three years.  In addition to being part of a team, I help to maintain the local trails we ski on.  

     My family purchased a sawmill that I have helped to run the past two summers.  We take the wood that has been milled, plane it, and use it to build walls and buildings at our cabin.

     I am in the school band as a trumpet player.  I was honored to be part of the Junior High Honor Band at UMD, last year.  I taught myself to play the acoustic guitar.  More recently I have taught myself the electric guitar.  Along with some of my friends, we have started a band.
