- Global Poverty- Why it Still Matters

- Daily, hundreds of millions of individuals globally fight to live on less than a few dollars each day. Organizations such as the World Bank define extreme poverty as surviving on less than $2.15 a day.(World Bank, n.d.) It's not only about earnings, it's also about restricted access to clean water, education, healthcare, and opportunities. Over the last few decades, global poverty has diminished, largely due to international initiatives spearheaded by organizations such as the United Nations. (Nations, 2025) However, advancements have slowed because of disputes, climate issues, and financial instability (Hasell et al., 2022).
- Poverty is unevenly spread; numerous impoverished groups reside in Sub-Saharan Africa and certain areas of South Asia. Kids are the most susceptible, encountering undernutrition and restricted access to education. Such as availability of education or essential healthcare can disrupt cycles of poverty. Reaching out to young people and also seeking the help of reputable organizations. People need to remain educated, and push for policies that advance worldwide equality. Ending poverty is not just an act of charity; it involves creating a more equitable and stable world for all.
- My campaign targets young people and students (ages 13–25). This group is important because they are active on social media, open to learning about global issues, and more likely to spread awareness and take small but meaningful actions. I am encouraging people to donate to trusted organizations as well as share information about global poverty online. Finally to support fair trade and ethical products. These actions help by raising awareness, increasing funding for poverty relief programs, and promoting systems that support fair wages and better living conditions globally. Even small contributions can help provide food, education, and healthcare to people in need.

- I chose this slogan because it shows that even simple actions, like donating a few dollars or sharing a post, can make a real difference in fighting global poverty. I want my slogan to be inspirational and emotional. Creating this tone by using facts, images, and short powerful statements and statistics without overwhelming the audience. Global poverty, including lack of access to basic needs like food, clean water, education, and healthcare. Students, young adults, and social media users who can help spread awareness and take action are my main focus for my PSA.
