Progressively advanced through the cadet training continuum, including SWAB Summer (basic military indoctrination), the Fourth Class academic year (freshman boards and indoctrination requirements), Third Class summer training aboard USCGC EAGLE (America's Tall Ship), earning qualifications through underway operations, the Third Class academic year serving as a role model and mentor to Fourth Class cadets, Second Class summer serving as cadre ("drill instructor") responsible for executing and managing incoming cadet training, while completing additional underway seamanship and navigation training along the New England coast, and the Second Class academic year continuing cadre leadership with direct supervisory responsibilities within a division.
Managed daily golf course turf and grounds operations, coordinating personnel, and executing mowing, trimming, mulching, weeding, aeration, and course set-up to meet playability standards. Applied turf science practices to maintain turf and course health, including fertilizer and pesticide applications, supervising irrigation and water conditions, conducting routine inspections, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe, consistent course conditions.
