In my professional career I have received many certifications and gained knowledge that I would not have been graced with, without experiencing the situations first hand. I have been granted an American Gem Society certificate in which I underwent specific training and testing to be allowed to claim AGS notability. I have also taken and passed a DCA course and evaluation granting me the title of a Certified Diamontologist and Gemologist through the Diamond Council of America. I have also received an Arizona state SLPA license and Finger print clearance card along with a certification in Basic life Support and CPR, through the American Heart Association. I also hold specialization certifications in Gestalt Language Planning, Natural Language Planning, Play Based Therapy, S.O.S. Feeding and Get Permission Feeding approaches.
Throughout my career as a student I have always found that it is important to give back to my community in any way that I can. While pursuing my education I have spent time volunteering at Reins of Life, where I fed and took care of horses while also attending community events centered around helping children and adults with physical and social disabilities. I have volunteered in many clubs within my degree college, I worked closely with peers to set up events for hearing and socially impaired children and adults through our ASL Club, where we would set up sensory Santa and other sensory events while working with the hearing-impaired community through sign language. I also volunteered to be a part of Deaf Deaf World, which is an event for the deaf community to showcase their amazing abilities and to help educate those who have little knowledge on the community and its support system. I have volunteered for and attended my universities AAC Camp in which I worked on a committee to bring focus to those who use AAC devices to communicate. I focused on bringing inclusivity to the program and within the campers who have attended the camp for many years.
