- CDC Consult on the 2019 AR Threats Report. I was the guest speaker at the CDC Antimicrobial Resistance event during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Additional Information
Handicap: In 2011, I was hit by a train in the slums of Kolkata, India. I was working at an orphanage for children with HIV when I was run over, resulting in the traumatic above-knee amputation of my leg. Despite my condition, I am fully able to work while standing or heavy lifting. I maneuver quite well within a laboratory setting, or out in the field, thanks to my waterproof electric prosthetic leg.
