Duties and responsibilities:

*Planning and scheduling of staff to ensure smooth operations.

*Provided various aircraft technical reports to ensure accurate data is sent to BASE stations for taking timely corrective actions and measures

* Took part in Control and Management of AOG situations and organized aircraft recovery when required ensuring minimum disruption.

*Communicate technical delays, incidences and accidents reports to ensuring accurate aircraft status was reported on time.

*Carried out planning and coordination of duty travel , Annual Leave , recurrent training of staff.

*Ensured Station tools and equipment remained serviceable and facilitated replacement, calibration and repairs promptly.

*In addition, carried out Engineers line maintenance duties and responsibilities on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

*Ensure maintenance tasks are recorded accurately and signed for to maintain correct and up to date aircraft history data.

* Report incidents / accident occurrences as per company procedures.

*Co-ordinate aircraft towing within the air side by communicating with control tower, apron control, operating necessary aircraft systems for safe and timely movement of aircraft

*Supervise a team technicians.

*Develop and provided guidance and On the job training to technicians and mechanics for improved competency/efficiency.

*Adhere to company safety, health and environmental policy.

*Assisted the Manager in day to day running of the Station managing both Kenya Airways and Third party contract customers aircrafts.

*Planning and scheduling of staff to ensure smooth operations.

*Provided various aircraft technical reports to ensure accurate data is sent to BASE stations for taking timely corrective actions and measures

* Took part in Control and Management of AOG situations and organized aircraft recovery when required ensuring minimum disruption.

*Communicated with KQ and Third party Contractors on technical delays, incidences and accidents reports to ensuring accurate aircraft status was reported on time.

* carried out inspection, repair, replacement, overhaul, modification and testing of aircraft system components and certifying within approved scope for optimal turn around time to ensure continuous availability of serviceable aircrafts.

* carried out and certified maintenance on cabin utilities and IFE systems for utmost customer satisfaction and comfort .

* identifying and requisition of the required parts.

* carried out and certified duplicate inspections on safety critical system of the aircraft and engines to ensure system integrity .

*Ensured that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately and signed for to maintain correct and up to date aircraft history data.

• Maintained personal toolkit with adequate serviceable tools, engraved with identification and permanent tool list of tools as per Engineering procedures.
• Checked to ensure that all tooling and equipment provided was serviceable, calibrated and operated to Company's Standard and any issues reported to ensure corrective action is taken.
• Checked to ensure that all work areas allocated including Hangars, Ramps and taxiways, were maintained in good and safe housekeeping order.
• Ensured that all manuals and publications used are updated, treated with care and returned to their storage location.

Trained at Kenya Airways Engineering Training School on Airframes and Engines Option.

*Areas of involvement in rotation basis were: Mechanical and Avionics Workshops,Propulsion Systems and Battery workshop, Sheet metal and Composite Workshop, NDT Workshop, Hangar, Technical Records, Engineering Planning, Stores Management, Development and Reliability section among others.

*Basic Engines Systems course held between ,30th Sept, 2002 to 8th Nov, 2002

* Bell 206 Long Ranger 3&4 with Allison Model 250 (T63- A-700) Engine

* Eurocopter, Ecureuil AS350-B1,B2,B3 with Turbomeca Ariel 1D1. Engine
