Work History

Cognitive Performance Specialist

Exos/Geneva Foundation - US Army
Fort Drum
07.2023 - Current
  • Within the Holistic Health & Fitness (H2F), I work closely and collaborate with nutritionists, dieticians, occupational therapists, and strength and conditioning coaches, as well as ranking military personnel, to provide a complete and comprehensive degree of care and performance enhancement to Army soldiers.
  • Through applied sport psychology and exercise science, I teach the Military-appointed Mental Resiliency Training (MRT) curriculum, as well as implement performance-enhancing practices to mediate and improve soldiers' stress response based on applied theory and academic study.
  • One-on-one sessions with individual soldiers, where I collaborate with Behavioral Health Services via referrals. These sessions are geared toward the specific individual through informed CBT/IPT.
  • Several soldiers have been referred to my services as a means of preparation for the elite Ranger School, Special Forces, Best Sapper Competition, and deployment.
  • Career Advising Consultations: Through further one-on-one sessions, I consult with soldiers as they begin the transition to civilian life to prepare them for conversations with Veteran Assistance (VA). We also work on exploring career options, such as areas of interest for education and full-time employment.
  • Leadership Course: Training sessions on leadership in each battalion. The class is formatted with an introduction to the practical application of cognitive performance techniques, such as imagery, stress regulation/inoculation, contrast therapy, self-talk/communication, and decision-making.
  • Sleep Consultation: I treat soldiers for sleep improvement, to implement behavioral changes in sleep hygiene, as well as more severe cases of insomnia.
