MATT ZHANG

My name is Matt Zhang, and I’m a freshman at NYU Stern concentrating in Finance. I became interested in finance early on through exposure to family members like my sister and cousin working in banking and private equity, and I’ve since developed that interest through hands-on experiences. In high school, I competed in the Wharton High School Investment Competition from 2022 to 2024, and most recently I worked on Magna’s corporate venture capital team this past summer. These experiences not only confirmed my interest in finance but also allowed me to build an analytical background in understanding companies and the reasoning behind their decision-making.
