Was a Master Tradesperson 3 and was tasked with restoring the USS Tripoli (LHA 7) Cargo Weapons Elevator #2 Inner Bottom Doors, no Team Leaders or SME's were available to support.  The doors had not operated since the ship was delivered to the Navy and now had become inoperative.  The ship was scheduled to deploy soon and these doors were going to render Cargo Weapons Elevator #2 out of commission.  I was asked to take on a leading position for the repair effort.  I flew to San Diego, Ca on short notice, assessed the repair requirements, developed a plan of action and kept the customer representative and my project manager updated.  My team was able to restore both doors to full operational condition.
