Matthew Chase

Matthew Chase is a Sophomore at Virginia Tech majoring in Industrial & Systems Engineering and pursuing a minor in economics. Matthew was also a freshman undergraduate research assistant, helping to process materials and characterize their microstructure using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopes under Dr. Alex Aning. He has spent the past three summers working as a Cabana Attendant and has leveraged his passion for photography by shooting Virginia Tech football games for 247Sports. Upon doing this, Matthew has built incredible social skills, forged valuable connections, and learned how to thrive in any unfamiliar environment.
