I have just shy of 10 years drilling rig experience. I have drilling experience in the Haynesville, Permian Basin, Eagleford, Austin Chalk, Barnett Shale, and Woodford Shale.
My job as a MWD Supervisor is to oversee the MWD operations on the rig. It is my job to ensure the proper training of night hands and verifying MWD tools are capable of taking directional surveys in real time. MWD tools use accelerometers and magnetometers to measure the inclination and azimuth of the wellbore at that location. I am experienced with Erdos Miller, Noralis, and DigiDrill systems. I am responsible for sending Real Time Surveys with all requested attachments to customer, drilling engineer, and geologist. I also send daily, pre & post run reports. I also have the ability to troubleshoot when necessary, re-log gamma when needed, and anything else that is asked of me.
Used iron roughnecks, tongs and slips to properly handle and connect sections of drill pipe. Verified and recorded drilling fluid properties at regular intervals to report deviations. Maintained and monitored mud pits and mud pumps during operations to detect unexplained pit level increases and decreases.
