As the Assistant Director of the Avenues residential treatment crisis facility for mentally ill adults, I was responsible for the overall quality of services provided to the clients we served. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to: monitoring/editing the daily documentation of services provided by staff, developing and maintaining good working relationships with client referral sources and other mental health/social service providers. I conducted training of newly hired counselors as well as ongoing trainings for all staff. Additionally, much of my work included maintaining a safe and comfortable program environment by working with staff/outside contractors to uphold local/state environmental quality assurance standards.
