This job was special. I got the chance to help with the first opening of Atomic Golf. I helped set up TV screens, tables, bars, and the kitchen for the first couple of weeks in a working construction zone. After the first month we opened, the grand opening was very smooth and went to plan. After the opening, I just made sure nothing was wrong with anything, as I knew the building inside out. Atomic golf would have events, and they had me working most of the time. They were always a good time, and I have nothing bad to say about this new spot in Las Vegas.
Lifeguarding was a very relaxed but high-focus job. Even though I was just sitting there, I needed to make sure I was scanning the area at all times. I never had to save someone, nor did anyone have to get saved while I was working, but I still made sure everyone was safe.
This job helped me gain a sense of respect and kindness towards others. A lot of people that I helped out were repeating guests, which made me build a connection with them. It was only two people running the booth at a time, me and whoever was there that day, so I was always up and going.
