Through my experience as a Buss Person at Ed's Mudville Grill, I learned how to interact and properly provide a service to individuals, looking to improve their experience while inside the building. The Lafayette Police Department Internship allowed me to interact with individuals out in the public, being able to answer or properly direct any questions or concerns to the right place. It allowed me to learn how to stay proactive and keep a busy work load or schedule. It ensured I knew the proper enforcement procedures, and how to properly handle my job while assisting Officers and other city employees. It also taught me how to properly organize myself, and prioritize tasks given to me. The Concord Police Department CADET Program taught me how to interact with individuals under the influence, or during crisis. It showed me the reality of Law Enforcement, and taught me how to problem-solve while interacting with the public and being able to properly handle situations calmly, and efficiently while remaining professional.
