  • Duties: To go pick up veterans and supplies from various locations and bring them back to the VA, then back to there homes. I am required to keep my vehicle always clean and have it running in the best condition it can be. Maintaining Safety while on the road is of the upmost importance. While I am always on the road, I make sure that I am able to get my TMS done in a timely manner. I Have received high praise from my coworkers and supervisors on how well I work together with everyone and in the manner, I speak to the veterans, making sure they and their safety are the top priority.

  • DUTIES: I was part of the crash crewman team in the hanger bay, keeping the aircraft safe and making sure they stayed at peak performance. I was the leading damage control petty officer (DCPO) for the department, keeping all fire stations and damage control equipment in top performance. I interpret drawings, blueprints, and instruction manuals such as reading the drawing and blueprints of our tag out modules and, while performing maintenance on the ship, I had to learn every safety and instruction manual for the checks I am working on (OPNAVINST 5100.19-chapter 1 basic safety chapter 9 electrical safety NSTM 370 hazmat)
  • I assemble, repair, and reconstruct metal furniture, shelving and other items pertaining to metal work such as repairing shelving and tables in the ship’s library and repairing metal cabinetry. I repair ballistic doors and non-watertight doors for CRMD department. I repair and replace parts of doors, shelving, and cabinetry with the use of various handheld tools and manually, if need be.
  • I perform preventive maintenance, where I identify, repair, install, or replace items as needed on existing buildings and structures. For example, I worked on the CVN75 doors team, repairing over 85 water and airtight doors and performed corrective maintenance on the ship’s piping, by replacing fixtures and pipes as needed.
