As a dedicated operator for Herzog we were contracted with all class 1 Railroads in the United States traveling by company pickup to each location where we were needed and met with train crews and track inspectors or managers of track maintenance. I was responsible for conducting surveys and unloading of ballast from the ballast train. During down time I would perform preventative maintenance and repairs to the ballast cars. The cars are 24 volt electric over hydraulic using Wago PLC Controls and other component's.
