While I do not have much experience with acting, I have been known to be good from my classmates and have a lot of fun with acting. In Freshman year, I played Claudio from Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare and was elected by my classmates the over dramatic award (in positive terms) and the looking up award (for memorizing my lines, as it was optional to). In Sophomore year, I recited a soliloquy from Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Later that day, I received an email from my teacher explaining how memorable my performance was and how good it was. In Junior year, I played Father Flynn from Doubt: A Parable by John Patrick Shanley, and was elected by my classmates the creepiest portrayal of Father Flynn (the suspected antagonist of the story) and the most memorable performancesome classmates even said my performance was the most memorable thing of that semester of American Literature. I also was responsible with script writing for Junior SING! (a one hour play/musical competing with Seniors and SophFroshSophomores and Freshman together). It was fun getting in the process of playwriting and learning about the behind the scenes stuff of making a play. Currently, I am taking Stories on Stage (Drama) and am part of the improv club at Stuyvesant and learning how to be a better actor. So far, I played Robert in Proof by David Auburn and my friends said I did a great job. The past few years made me really appreciate acting and how fun and hard it is.
