I've worked with dozens of different materials; multiple types of extruders and I pride myself on being able to successfully troubleshoot problem lines. When I'm making a product, I do it with the customer in mind. Customers expect a well-made, reliable product that suits their needs and it's my job to meet their expectations.

  • Assist engineers with new product development for filament production
  • Set up and run the current line of products manufactured by IMS

  • Collaborate with the operators who compounded the resin so there’s less guessing when it comes time to make filament

  • Assist engineers with making new plastics/resins manufacturable
  • Set up, run, shut down and clean extrusion lines
  • Perform moisture tests on resins
  • 3D print parts needed for production
  • Make adjustments to extruders, pullers, winders and other equipment when production jobs aren't running as efficient as needed. Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and operating issues
  • Assist engineering with scrap reduction projects as well as projects to run production jobs faster Assist the automation department with setting up and running the robots used for automated welding and assembling
  • Assemble new equipment used in production
  • Collect data on test runs for new resins and report to engineering on what did and didn't work on a test run
