Matthew Loftus

Lead P&G's global acquisition and divestiture department, a group of 8 individuals across 3 countries. In this role, I support the creation, and lead the execution of, corporate strategy for acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, joint ventures and equity investments. This includes the divestiture of P&G's specialty beauty business to Coty (a $12Bn Reverse Morris Trust Transaction), the $4Bn acquisition of Merck's global consumer healthcare business, the divestiture of P&G's pet care and batteries businesses, the acquisition of several specialty beauty companies (Ouai, Tula, Farmacy, First Aid Beauty), among others.

I also serve as the general counsel of Procter & Gamble Ventures, supporting, end-to-end, P&G's new business unit that launches new-to-P&G categories like insecticides (Zevo) and herbicides (Spruce).

Corporate partner for 2 years after a 7 year career as a corporate associate. Specialized in mergers & acquisitions and in supporting start-ups as outside general counsel. Expertise in equity and debt financing, creation of governing documents and guiding businesses in all aspects of their growth and development.
