I have achieved personal growth by experience in multiple areas of work. I’ve achieved adaptability and willingness to get out of my comfort zone to compete a task. I am not afraid to do something I’ve never done before.
At Craig Bush Farms I achieved a steady work ethic and a “whatever it takes” attitude, I learned how to repair and operate heavy equipment, and the fundamentals of farming. Forced to quit due to terminal illness. Reason for gap in employment between 2012 and 2015.
At O'Reilly Auto Parts I achieved product knowledge and improved in my basic automotive repairs. I achieved sales experience and customer service/relations/satisfaction. I learned basic inventory skills. I also achieved teamwork and leadership skills in my time of employment. Due to lack of growth within the company I moved to Mitchell County Ford. A two week notice was provided.
At Mitchell County Ford I was able to take my automotive repair skills from being a car enthusiast working on them as a hobby, and experienced the professional side of the field. I grew significantly in the automotive repair field and learned how to diagnose and repair cars and trucks as needed. My time here was cut short due to hire on conditions not being met/violated. I moved to James Maxwell Snap-On Tools. A two week notice was provided.
At Snap-On Tools I achieved the most. I was given a failing franchise to run and thrown to the wolves with promises that if I applied myself I would be successful. In the nearly 6 years I ran this franchise I applied my previously acquired skills and increased the business model by 3x having a ground breaking sales week within my first 90 days and double that within my first 6 months. I continued to run the franchise, saw steady healthy growth, and earned many awards and accomplishments throughout my time. Here I had to utilize my skills to not only increase sales/collections, I offered warranty repair services on products. I minimized operating costs by utilizing my automotive repair skills to perform repairs/maintenance to the tool truck. I left due to owner downsizing for retirement and selling the business. A one month notice was offered, but owner only requested two weeks. Moved to Capital Hitch Service.
At Capital Hitch Service I was hired on primarily for inventory management but also as a fill in for any other position that required assistance. On top of my inventory tasks I answer customer calls and assist them as needed, I work up front in retail counter sales, and I help manage the shop by keeping the workers on task and helping them when needed, I also fill in when we have call outs and help in the shop with automotive and trailer repair/services.
