Matthew Lucas

Sports and Leadership:

• Part of the Quakertown High School Mens Basketball Team for 4 years
• Currently on the Cairn University Mens Basketball Team

Basketball has taught me the importance of communication and helped me build numerous leadership skills. Basketball has also taught me time management skills and the importance of planning out your week. The ability to overcome adversity and mental toughness was also learned through various struggles and difficulties through sports.

Shadowing experience:

• Shadowed at ATI Physical therapy, learning how Physical Therapists work to treat various mobility issues and discomfort for those coming out of surgery, or those who are injured on the job.
• Shadowed at Alpha Dermatology, learning how to treat various skin issues, moles, and understanding how the body responds to various skin stressors.
• Shadowed at Grand View Hospital Emergency Center, learning what it takes in order to treat various problems that people visit the Emergency Center for.
