Staying alert and paying attention to your surroundings and other equipment working in your area was an important task. 12 hr shifts day/night 5 days a week with 5 on and 5 off. I promoted to 15-0 which is a type to leadership, assigning new trainees to trainers for the shift, staying on top of making sure all available equipment was manned. Throughout walk around, checking each piece of equipment, making sure it’s in working order for operations. I started working with Riley Industrial right after I graduated high school, within 5 months of working for the company I got promoted to crew leader, showing hard work ethic and determination. Within this position I was in charge of manning a 4 man crew, our daily duties consisted of reaching out to our clients to find out which job site needed maintenance/ maintenance cleaning. We learned to operate and run a gap vax, vacuum truck, and high lift, as it was part of our daily tasks.
