I was recently a part of the California Community Cycles team. I had fun doing that, and enjoyed being helpful with my peers as well as with the local community of San Jose. I helped design the work space at the shop warehouse, where a variety of classes are taught. I oversaw and implemented multiple aspects of bicycle acquisition, assessment, repair and assignment. One of my weekly jobs was to do free community repairs at Recovery Cafe & Sacred Heart Church. I taught "ABCs of bike repair," Air, Brake and Chain, to Middle School students as well as at Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition's community repair classes. I created and implemented adult repair classes towards Park Tool Certification.
I am a collaborative and organized mechanic and instructor with passion for helping people do arts, crafts, academics and athletics. When I am not building a custom woodworking project, you can find me cycling 60-90 miles through our wonderful parks, researching new trails, studying the history of Mount Umunhum or Mt. Hamilton, or managing & designing a privately sponsored gold mining trip.
