Produce Team Leader

Wegmans
07.2023 - 01.2025
  • As a team leader, my foremost attention went to building a strong, quality, reliable workforce. Working with many people with different backgrounds, ages, skill sets, and personalities, you learn how to speak ans communicate with everybody on an individual basis to earn trust and comradery to achieve the team goals.
  • As a leader, you put the safety of the company and the people that are working below you as a priority. The last thing that you want to see is for someone to get badly hurt. It's a black eye on the company and you don't know if that worker will ever be able to function properly again. I am proud to say, that we haven't dealt with any serious accidents where there has been any lost time or anybody had to miss a lump period of work.
  • Some of our daily and weekly tasks are making sure that our daily orders are done and submitted on time, go over our last day numbers to see how our department ranked within the division, communicate with the store and general managers on how we are doing as a whole and what else we may need to be more successful.
  • On the weekly side, we have to set our weekly projections, prepare the department in a way that will allow us to be successful and to hit our goals. We build and input the weekly schedule, and build our forecast for what we believe we sell the best depending on the time of year and what's in season, and build displays to advertise our products.

Sales and Service Clerk

USPS
02.2020 - 07.2023
  • As a postal clerk, you worked many functions, from unloading the morning mail truck, sorting packages and mail for the carriers, working the front window, keeping detailed inventory of your stamp stock, and loading the outgoing mail at the end of the night.
  • As my career with the postal service progressed, I was given an opportunity to supervise an office in Malone, NY. I drove both ways on a daily basis, after a few weeks, the commute had become to much and I decided that it was in my best interest to leave that post.
  • In May of last year, I transferred down to New Jersey because I was moving to Philadelphia, Pa, my post was in Kearney, NJ, it was almost a 3 hour one way trip to go to work, I left the post there also because of extended travel time. I was often gone for 14-18 hours a day.
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Postal Service, if the commute had been closer, I would have surely stayed.
