  • Assigned to Orange County Sheriff's Department's Regional Narcotics Suppression Program (RNSP).
  • 01/2019-08/2021- Assigned as a Detective on an RNSP Surveillance team. As a Detective, the team Sergeant would assign narcotic related cases to be worked. This entailed prioritizing cases, working the cases from the beginning phase to prosecution, directing other team personnel, preparing and executing search warrants, contacting and working with outside agencies and preparing reports. Collected evidence and preserved its integrity at all times while testifying under oath in administrative hearings and criminal court cases.
  • 09/2021-03/2023- Assigned as a Team Leader/ Detective on an RNSP Surveillance team. Worked as a Detective in the above description in addition to supervising the team in the Sergeant's absence, training new team members, running the day to day operations of the team in conjuction with the team Sergeant.
  • 04/2023-Present- Assigned as a fixed-wing Pilot/Observer in RNSP's Air Unit. I'm one of four pilots/observers that operate 2 fixed-wing airplanes outfitted with surveillance cameras. Each aircraft requires one pilot and one observer operating the camera. Each of us are cross trained to work as the pilot and observer and will alternate weekly in both positions. The Air Unit assists the Surveillance teams with conducting surveillance operations from the airplane when the team can't safely perform the surveillance from the ground.

Accomplishments

  • I was responsible for several cases that required collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). One of these cases lasted 13 months and resulted in several arrests and the seizure of over 4,000 lbs of narcotics.
