  • Install, maintain, and repair all cooling equipment at steel plant such as RTUs, heat pumps, chillers, window units, mini-splits, PTAC units, ice machines, plant vehicles (MVAC), heavy equipment, crane cab HVAC systems, cabinet cooler systems, VFD, computer, and switchgear HVAC systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all heating equipment at steel plant. Maintain electric, natural gas, LP gas heaters.
  • Perform troubleshooting on industrial HVAC systems to determine root cause of issues.
  • Manage all plant refrigerant and refrigerant oil usage with Compliance Suite program to EPA Standards.
  • Coordinate plant environmental personnel and interaction with EPA and OSHA inspectors.
  • Repair and replace motors, bearings and belts in heavy industrial environment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair necessary 240 VDC crane board operating systems for bridge cranes throughout steel plant. G.E., Cutler Hammer, EC&M, Square D.
  • Troubleshoot programs and maintain programmable logic controllers.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
  • Install supporting components such as fuel lines and wiring to complete systems.

  • Supervise and coordinate work schedule and performance of 1 - 8 outside vendors on plant.

  • Manage and stock all HVAC and electrical supplies for Electric Air and Water Shop.
