Coordinates the activities of the J2 senior leadership team, oversees directorate requirements and taskings, ensures business rule development and compliance, and continuously evaluates and improves J2 work processes and designs. Works with senior J2 staff to ensure leaders are aligned with J2 goals and strategy, sharing information with each other and their teams, and enabling collaboration and teamwork. Ensures the J2 staff is synched with the Commander’s Action Group and Office of Congressional Affairs to support CCDR requirements. Leads and develops J2’s strategy for communicating to the workforce. Oversees staff seating and office space for a directorate consisting of 550+ military, civilians, contractors, exchange officers, and interagency partners.
As the Deputy Division Chief, led 60 contractor, military, reserve, and civilian personnel from the Analysis, Mission Management, and Science & Technology career fields. Oversaw the day to day operations of the Targeting Branch, Open Source Branch, Medical and Environmental Intelligence Branch, and the Operations Branch which consists of the J2 Watch, ELINT Team, and Indications and Warning Team. Oversaw planning, budgeting, and execution of the division's Military Intelligence Program (MIP) funds. Oversaw activation, creation, daily operations, and outputs of the Intelligence Fusion Cell {IFC) during crisis events. As the Mission Integrator for Migration, aligned all components, task forces, law enforcement and interagency partners to identify and synchronize initiatives, activities, and projects; ensured alignment and unity of effort across the J2, Components/Task Forces, and the broader DIE and IC on maritime and overland migration throughout the Western Hemisphere
Led and managed a division consisting of three branches: Counter Transitional Organized Crime (CTOC), Counter Terrorism (CT), and Counter Threat Finance (CTF). Serves as a second level supervisor on matters pertaining to day-to-day operations or management of programs. As such, exercised technical and administrative supervision over three branches consisting of 59 analysts, and ensured intelligence programs met requirements based on knowledge of the full scope of intelligence laws, regulations, and policies. Ensured alignment with the Commander's strategic vision and theater campaign plan, along With national-level guidance and policies, to institute effective intelligences programs that resulted in efficient organizational operations. Identified and obtained resources (i.e., staff, funds, space, and equipment), and created partnerships with law enforcement and the private sector to accomplish program goals.
Served as the Senior Analyst for a division consisting of four branches: CTOC, CT, CTF, and Intelligence Support to Targeting. Managed the analysis and production of 60 military and civilian intelligence professionals to conduct network and strategic analysis and provide analytic support to the targeting/effects process. Ensured all division intelligence products adhered to ODNI, DIA, and SOUTHCOM analytic tradecraft standards. Provided analytic training on a routine basis to all division personnel; served as a mentor to branch senior analysts and team leads. Assumed the responsibility of Division Chief or Deputy Chief in their absence. Worked with analysts to create or update individual development plans. Coordinated with Division leaders to develop performance objectives for all analysts. Emphasized and facilitated cooperation and collaboration with law enforcement partners and SOUTHCOM component commands. Represented SOUTHCOM at Intelligence Community Federated Production Boards.

Analyst for the Governance Team, responsible for all source strategic and predictive analysis on issues affecting Afghan national and sub-national stability. Authored strategically-focused intelligence assessments related to sub-national governance, powerbroker politics, and tribal disputes which affect Afghan government stability and US security interests. Authored and delivered briefings on sub-national governance dynamics, political issues, and violent tribal disputes; provided cultural and historically based analysis and recommendations to senior level civilian and military decision makers. Coordinated and collaborated with Pentagon Joint Staff, Regional Commands, and international Coalition intelligence counterparts to address key intelligence gaps and answer COMISAF RFls. Supported Coalition operational development via releasable and actionable intelligence assessments and briefings.
