I started in the IBEW as a groundman for Wights Tree service back in 1997 and moved up quickly to foreman. In the fall of 2000 I joined the lineman apprenticeship with Missouri Valley and tried numerous times to become a journeyman but decided tree trimming and restoration work was what I found more rewarding.
