Background & Personal Life

I grew up in Leonard, ND. I felt the need to serve my community and my country so I joined the military in September of 2014. After I graduated high school, I attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia in August of 2015. I was stationed with the 1st Battalion 5th Infantry Regiment, Fort Wainwright, Alaska where I attended tryouts and was selected to be a member of our battalion reconnaissance platoon. I spent three years learning reconnaissance techniques and how to conduct reconnaissance in a mountainous environment. I utilized this training when my unit was assigned to a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) mission to the Demilitarized Zone in South Korea in 2017. I reenlisted and received orders to the 1st Battalion 506th Infantry regiment, Fort Campbell, KY where I returned to the battalion reconnaissance platoon to help train scouts with the knowledge I had gained in Alaska. After a year I moved to our Alpha Company to become a squad leader and trained in a basic ground infantry role.

My completed military schools & training are the following:

Basic Leader Course

Basic Military Mountaineering Course

Air Assault Course

Rappel Master Course

SPIES/FRIES Master Course

Expert Infantryman Badge Awardee

Combat Lifesaver Course

After separating from the military I worked as a gunsmith and cerakote applicator before moving back home to North Dakota to be a manufacturing technician where I learned to design and make parts to sell on the global market. I am married to my wife Gabhriel and our son Ryder was born in March of 2023. We are avid offroad enthusiasts and have spent the last year building our 2012 Ram to explore the great outdoors as a family. In my personal life, I am a devoted hunter and conservationist and I have been competing in the Precision Rifle Series since 2020. I was the Top Amatuer for the 2023 PRS Pro Series and am currently ranked as a Professional precision rifle competitot. I am currently sponsored by U.S. Optics as Pro Team Shooter. I enjoy learning and teaching myself new skills. My newest hobbies include working on my truck, learning photography and videography, and teaching precision rifle training courses.
