I started Revived Spirits in 2019 while going to graduate school for Mental Health Counseling with the intention of it becoming my private practice for therapy services in the future.
While completing graduate school and state hours for my license, Revived Spirits engaged in the follow business:
Upon receiving my LPC in December of 2023, I took 2024 to begin building my private practice and re-brand Revived Spirits.
I continue to utilize my Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science and Certifications in alternative body work therapy for horses to ensure the horses utilized in my program are happy and healthy. Additionally, I provide rehabilitation for horses that have experienced abuse, emaciation, trauma, and injuries. I find these horses to be incredibly helpful additions in the program, as the majority of client's can relate to their troubled pasts.
Completed continuing education hours in ethics, suicide prevention, vicarious trauma, and clinical applications of the polyvagal theory. Trained under Dr. Rebecca Bailey and Jaycee Dugard for a 6 month intensive through the Polyvagal Equine Institute. Completed hours for certification in Somatic Therapy for Complex Trauma.
