· Assessed and treated adult patients with cognitive-linguistic and swallowing impairments recovering from traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, cerebrovascular accidents, Parkinson’s and other neurological disorders using evidence-based practices.

· Administered clinic swallow evaluations and delivered swallowing therapies using a battery of exercises including the masako maneuver, mendelson maneuver, effortful swallow, EMST, NMES, and IOPI.

· Utilized standardized screening and assessment measures including the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Brief Cognitive Assessment Tool, Boston Naming Test, Orientation Log, Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status Update.

· Collaborated with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, case management and physicians in weekly team meetings to discuss patient progress and discharge planning.

· Practiced with patient chart reviews, monitored patient progress, and completed patients’ daily treatment notes through Epic software.

· Integrated patients’ preferences to generate personalized care plans to help patients achieve their safest return to prior level of function and community reintegration.

· Interpret modified barium swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing and assisted in communicating results and safe recommendations to patients and families.

· Provided individual and group therapy in both pull-out and push-in sessions to a diverse pediatric caseload of preschool to school age children to promote communicative and academic growth.

· Evaluated students to determine eligibility for services through screening and referral protocols and formulated short-term and long-term goals using a SMART format.

· Administration of age-appropriate standardized assessments including the PLS-5, CELF-5, OWLS-II, GFTA-3, TOPL-2, CASL-2, SSI-4.

· Conducted regular individualized education programs and evaluation report meetings to address educational concerns related to speech and language.

· Monthly interactions with caregivers building development of trust, rapport, and honest communication about child concerns and uncertainty.

· Collaborated with other school professionals to determine and implement multidisciplinary treatment.
