- The Chair of Nursing has oversight responsibilities for the Practical Nursing Diploma and Associate Degree Nursing programs including serving as the head of program. The Nursing Chair will work to promote a culture of accountability and excellence to improve student success within all Nursing program areas, which includes providing assistance to the Vice President of Instruction . The Nursing Chair will be responsible for the primary administration of the Nursing programs. Duties will include leadership responsibility for faculty and staff as well as responsibility for curriculum planning, development, staffing, evaluating, assessment, monitoring budget, and expenditures, accreditation, and operations necessary for the entire program to achieve the program's missions, goals, core values, and expected outcomes. The individual in this position must meet the standards of the Department of Inspections and Appeals, Board of Nursing. Chair of the Nursing Division reports to the Vice President of Instruction.
