Fashion Design Experience

  • Both individual and collaborative projects. Experience with the development process for bodices, jackets, skirts, and pants. Pattern drafting from scratch, made prototypes with muslin, ultimately ensured final garments had my signature attention to tailoring and my key aesthetic of avant garde.
  • Recreated an editorial photoshoot. I have experience in approaching and recruiting people. I recruited a model, photographer, and I was responsible for photoshoot location, and wardrobe. I had to find other like-minded students to aid with all of my projects.
  • Worked with a group to identify market trends and took those trends to create a brand that would appeal to specific consumers.
  • Experience with sustainability and innovation. I created an upcycled multifunctional garment that could be used as a jacket or you could attach a skirt to the jacket. Researched with another student to find eco-friendly fibers and developed a business plan and manufacturing process for the multifunctional garment.
  • Knowledgeable in the process of creating illustrations. I've done figure drawing and fashion sketches for seasonal collections. I've continued to progress in this field of work and I intend to become a good illustrator because it would help the process of taking a sketch to a real life garment.

Senior Collection

Inspired by the uncharted areas of the deep sea, jungle, and volcanoes. I started by doing a mental map. Took the ideas and turned them into sketches, then progressed to prototypes. Satisfied with the prototypes I executed them and turned them into final garments. The process was hard and I was limited to my knowledge of garment construction. I had to simplify the garments because I had to sew my own garments.

Computer Aided Design

I've gained knowledge in photoshop and adobe illustrator. We had projects where we created our own illustrations and tech packs using this type of software. For my final project I created my own trend report for spring 2022. Used those trends to make my own collection of how consumers should style the specific trends. While doing this project I learned a lot about photoshop and how to create a trend report.

Fashion Illustration

I learned how to draw the female and male croquis. I was assigned various assignments where I had to draw specific body parts. Learned how to apply color with depth to the croquis. For my final project I created a collection inspired by Motorsports. I created a moodboard and started my prototypes. To create the prototypes I cut and glued various parts of a Formula 1 and MotoGp parts to the croquis. Used those prototypes as a blueprint to create my final collection.
