- I transferred from the construction class my junior year to the welding class my senior year to get more of an idea of multiple trades. In this welding class I did all sorts of things from basic beads on steel to competitive welding in competitions for my school. I also learned how to use a line burner so I could cut steel at an angle and use that steel to weld more things. Finally, I learned different vocabulary like Arc, MIG, and Tig Welds. I learned what those meant and how to communicate with others to figure out problems.

- I worked at a flower shop in Waterford Township on the weekends usually from 8am-2pm. My jobs would include things like watering flowers, moving pots from one stand to another, lifting heavy objects like bags of fertilizer and rocks, and even driving a truck to deliver flowers to people’s houses. I would get one break for the entire shift and during my work time I would always put everthing I’ve got into my job and making the company make more profit. I got the job through a friend who recommended me because they said I was a hard worker and didn’t give up when I got tired.

- I learned construction technology at OTEC which involves all skills from electrical work, framing, and masonry. I’ve built things from saw horses to large dog houses. At the end of the day, everyday, I’d clean up my area and make sure all my tools go in the correct locations.

- Got food orders in from the waitresses/waiters then put the food together and ran it out to them, either giving it to the waiters or serving the food on my own. Sometimes I also cooked orders depending on what the food was.

I go to Rochester Adams High School and there I play on the lacrosse team as a first sting starting Varsity member, I also play the sousaphone in the schools marching band, I enjoy building things and learning things that are more hands on than by the books
