Summary

Confident young student-athlete playing soccer at the collegiate level, driven by a strong work ethic and resilience shaped by my unique journey. Originally from Argentina, I moved to the United States at the age of 14, knowing very little English. Adjusting to a new country and culture was a significant challenge, but it taught me valuable skills like adaptability, perseverance, and effective communication.

As the oldest sibling, I embraced the responsibility of leading by example, showing my brothers every day why our family made the move for a better future. Balancing academics, athletics, and family responsibilities has helped me develop exceptional time management and discipline. My experiences on and off the soccer field have also honed my leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

I’m passionate about pushing myself to be the best I can be, whether it’s excelling in school, improving as an athlete, or supporting my family. My journey has taught me the importance of hard work, resilience, and staying focused on my goals.

Skills

  • I’ve developed strong leadership skills both on and off the field On the field, I try to lead by example whether it’s by working hard in practice, showing up on time, or encouraging my teammates Off the field, being the oldest sibling has taught me what it means to take responsibility When my family moved to the US from Argentina when I was 14, I had to step up for my younger brothers I worked hard to show them that we moved here for a better future, and I take pride in being someone they can look up to
  • I barely spoke any English when I first moved here, so I had to find other ways to communicate, especially on the soccer field I used things like gestures and body language to connect with teammates at first Over time, I worked hard to improve my English, and now I can communicate with people from all kinds of backgrounds This has made me better at connecting with my teammates and coaches, especially in situations where quick and clear communication is key Being bilingual has also helped me build relationships and bridge cultural differences, both on and off the field
  • Moving to a new country at 14 was tough I had to leave behind everything I knew, learn a new language, and adjust to a completely different life On top of that, balancing school, soccer, and family responsibilities hasn’t always been easy For example, during my first year of college, I struggled to keep up with the demands of academics and sports But I found ways to manage my time and stayed focused on my goals These experiences taught me how to stay calm under pressure and keep pushing forward, no matter what challenges I face
  • DISCIPLINE is one of the biggest reasons I’ve been able to succeed As a student athlete, it means sticking to a schedule, showing up to practices, doing my schoolwork on time, and staying focused on what matters As the oldest in my family, it also means making good choices and staying committed to the reasons we moved here I know the sacrifices my parents made for us, and that motivates me to work hard every day whether it’s on the soccer field, in the classroom, or at home
