Maximo Soto

I was in the committee designated to provide weekly service opportunities to the freshmen of the Aggie Fish Club, a freshmen leadership organization run at Texas A&M University. Through this committee, we reached out to organizations across College Station, Bryan, and the Brazos Valley area for volunteering opportunities. Some non-profits we worked with include 12th Can, Aggieland Humane Society, and Brazos Valley Food Bank. We were also in charge of our organization's annual service event, Project Fish, a day-long event where the members of our organization volunteer with various non-profits in College Station. We also volunteered as small group leaders for our organization for The Big Event, the largest one-day student-run service project in the nation.

• I was in charge of communication between my group and the person to whom we would be providing our service, and I was responsible for picking up and dropping off all of the tools we borrowed for the day.

• I was an active volunteer at the Houston Food Bank for all four years of high school.
• Volunteer activities include cleaning donated food, inventory management, wrapping pallets of donated food, and creating and delivering online orders.
• Operated a variety of machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
