Currently, the above skills are deployed as a Dynamic Automated Fingerprint Identification System Auditor and Trainer at SLED, recognized for enhancing audit processes and ensuring regulatory compliance. Expert in risk assessment and confidentiality training, fostering team mentorship and collaboration. Achieved significant improvements in training programs, empowering law enforcement agencies to meet SLED and FBI standards effectively. Strong communicator with a keen attention to detail.
General Responsibilities
Work with the SLED Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) unit to identify issues/deficiencies/errors with LIvescan submissions from agencies across the state. Develop training to provide to Law Enforcement Agencies and Criminal Justice Practitioners utilizing a Livescan system to correct errors.
Ensure all agencies are collecting information according to SLED and FBI Standards. Provide training on proper collection of fingerprints, palm prints, mugshots.
Specifically:
+ Review errors within AFIS to identify training needs at Livescan Locations. Conduct training at Livescan locations to ensure information is entered properly.
+ Remain knowledgeable of SLED and FBI procedures for fingerprint submissions and provide training as necessary. Ensure all field personnel such as Sheriff's offices, Detention Centers, and Coroner's offices to name a few are properly updated with state laws and protocol manuals.
+ Identify program training needs through any audits and needs assessment research to design, implement, schedule training, and prepare all training materials and handouts. Report any concerns/issues from local agencies to Automated Fingerprint Identification System Supervisor.
+ Stay apprised of system modifications and ensure local Automated Fingerprint locations and aware of any updates.
This position is located at the State's ARNG Intelligence and Security Office. This is a ARNG National Guard position requiring military membership. Duties are as follows:
1) 40% = Receives, reviews, and submits requests for personnel clearances for serviced civilian, contractor, and military personnel. Checks the request for completeness and accuracy and contacts the Security Manager, Supervisor, points of contact at the serviced units, and/or the individual subject of the background / clearance investigation for any questions or corrections.
2) 30% = Uses automated systems and software to assist in analysis and research. Uses a variety of methods to track, monitor and maintain files concerning the status of pending, current and in-progress investigations and re-investigations for Secret and Top Secret clearance holders.
3) 15% = Performs duties related to assisting suitability adjudications/ determinations for the fitness and suitability of civilians employees, contractors and/ or applicants for initial and continuing employment retention.
4) 15% = Executes established policies and procedures required for the personnel security program. Implements and executes policies and procedures in accordance with Federal Regulations.
Primarily responsible for the analysis, processing and distribution of strategic and tactical intelligence. Integral to providing Army National Guard personnel with information about enemy forces and potential battle areas.
