I’ve played hockey my whole life until now. The past three years I played very high level hockey in Ontario, Canada. This past season I was a captain on my team, and I learned a lot about being a leader, and always trying to do the right thing, especially when nobody is looking. It taught me so much about being able to calm a group down and when things aren’t going your way, and focus on the task at hand. I was the top scorer on my team for the past 2 seasons, and got named MVP twice.
I started this job at the start of the summer this year. It has helped me a lot in the aspect of working with people, and problem solving. Also helped me grow my work ethic considering it has been my second job all summer.
I never had served food until I got the job at Dunmires. I would like to think I caught on quickly, and now I am definitely relied upon when it comes to a busy night, or a few big tables. It’s a great environment to be in but my career will be in finance, so I’d like to get my feet wet in that industry as soon as possible.
I pride myself in my work ethic, and being able to be a people person If there’s a problem with something, I am good about coming up with a solution to make both parties happy Those skills would transfer over to this position well in my opinion
